Is that a groomed path??
Is it a private park, or public land?
Who pays for the groomer?

I traveled by train across Germany in December, 2009. Cross-country skiing wasn't just good exercise, but the preferred way to cross a field, or head for town.

It's groomed by the city and skiers pay for a pass, something like $28 a year.

I heart groomed trails. Or fresh powder. One or the other.

After spending four years shoveling snow in the Upper Peninsula I am happy to just look at pictures of it rather than being in it.

That's what the golf course looked like 8 months out of the year up there.

Good article

I am waiting for someone to do this backlash thing that happened with the overly eager gay activists, with racebaiters. Call them out, shame them.

Kudos to the songwriters for working in the term "fractals" in the movie.

Nothing better than a sunny day with fresh snow, especially if the wind is absent.
