If this was SP, the NYT headline:

Nitwit Sarah Palin cannot even count to four.

Because it's Biden, the NYT headline:

Oh wait, there isn't one. Funny, that.

He smart! S M R T!

That hairplugged douchebag makes Quayle look brilliant.

I am certain the republic has endured worse administrations, but the next 4 years are either going to be comedic gold or a terrorists playground. Or both. Hey, what's not funny about belt bombers, right?

It's that he sounds so serious and passionate that makes it funny. It's a three letter word - it's truthy, I tell you! :p Ah, it's not the dumbest mistake he's ever made. Sometimes we misspeak.

And, of course, what Donn said is absolutely right. You know exactly what the media would do to Palin for an innocuous slip like that.

The more Biden speaks the more I question Obama's judgment. What is it Biden's supposed to be knowledgeable about again?

Cockamamie is good word to describe Biden's ideas.

Oh, that Joe!

Look on the bright side: if Biden becomes vice president, we won't have to see him or hear him for four years.

The vaunted "foreign policy" expert Joe Biden believes that Hezbollah was kicked out of Lebanon.

And that FDR was President at the stock market crash in 1929.

And, . . . .

Choosing Joe Biden says serious shit about Obama's judgment.

I'm really scared. For real.

It's good to have Joe back again. He has said so many stupid things over the years. People make all kinds of excuses for him, but a bloviating lack of intelligence is hard to hide. Thus, no MSM stories about Joe.

And if we do, at least he'll be entertaining. We'll all need a reason to laugh...so we won't cry.

See what will happen to you when you sit in the US Senate for 36 years doing nothing.

If you think Obama's resume is thin (Wash Post today), what the heck has Biden done in 36 years besides take a lot of train rides?

Clueless Joe hits it out of the park one more time.

You know the stupidest thing he ever said? When he said who knows plumbers that make $250,000. Did he ever have a pipe fixed or waste pipe replaced? What a moron. Plumbers print money. Much more so that carpenters and painters and they do damn well too. Typical elitist bullshit.

Brace yourself: Glenn Greenwald said something nice about you in his blog.

FYI.

The lines that bring the water from the main water line in the street to my mom’s house burst about five years ago. It had just happened to one of our neighbors. The pipe had to be replaced and reset because it was a lead pipe and you can’t use those anymore in NYC. The job cost $2,500. But then someone else’s pipe burst and then another and then another. You see they were all put in at the same time 100 years ago and they all more or less wore out at the same time. So this guy got to replace about 40 of them on the block. That’s about $100,000. And that was five years ago. I am sure it costs more now.

I was with my kids (who are 7, 9, and 11 years old) driving yesterday when we heard the Biden clip. They thought it was hysterical and had a good laugh.

Then I told them that if Obama is elected president, Biden would be next in line if anything happened to him. They became serious right away. If Obama is elected, we will pray for his health and safety every day, because the idea of Biden in the Oval Office is truly terrifying.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: the selection of Joe Biden as a running mate demonstrates that Barack Obama is not fit to be president.

Chip Ahoy said...

And Obama's got a two-word solution, "gov mint."

Thank goodness all that Chicago Annenberg Challenge money was so wisely directed.

This is going to be enjoyable. Look, just shut up and give me your money. I've got my eye on a camera and I'd rather keep my own cash.

[That was me up there ^^^ deleted, because I typed the word think instead of thank. How come sometimes the removed post says "deleted by author" and other times it says "deleted by the person who deleted it" ? That inconsistency is intolerable.]

Ann, so please explain why you think Joe Biden would be a better Veep then Sarah Palin?

Are you still voting for monkey* ears?
How does a law professor rationalize voting for a candidate who breaks the law to win?

A broken watch is right twice a day. But that's not really apt here; the better point is that he's an ignorant schmuck when he's insulting her directly and he doesn't become any smarter or any less of a schmuck when he changes gears and insults her indirectly.

Sad.

Does Crazy Uncle Joe think his nickname has two letters?

I'd really like to see more of the tape from after he made the statement. Listen to people in the audience laugh. When or how long did it take for Slo Joe to realize what he said? Then what did he say?

Anonymous said...

You can't blame him, we all have three letters on our minds right now.

J. O. E! Joe.

Joe Six Pack, Joe the Plumber, Joe Six Term Senator.

Ernesto Ariel Suárez said...

AllenS, when he went looking for the bottle of gin and one of the campaign staffers told him. His response was "Oh..G-d love you! What am I talking about?"

And then resumed looking for the bottle.

ElcubanitoKC, you gave me an idea:

Joe: "What am I talking about. The correct number of letters is four...J O B."

After Dan Quayle misspelled potato, and someone informed Biden, I can imagine Joe saying in response "I don't get it."

Bob said...

If this was Joe the Plumber and he screwed up a job he wouldn't get paid. And there'd be a mess.

But with 6-term Joe we pay and there's definitely a mess.

Yeah, the bare minimum as I was in the way as he needed to talk about Ana Marie Cox. It was an exercise in seeing how much you could quote one side of a diavlog to the exclusion of the other and it was done with the unexplained reference to other bad things about me, thereby sliming me without context. Thanks a whole lot, you little jerk.

It's a complete usurpation of the limelight by Joe Biden. It used to be that the most dangerous place on earth was between Chuck Schumer and a television camera. Now the torch has been passed to Biden.

Neither Palin, Biden, or Obama are qualified to be President.

You can hardly blame McCain for thinking to himself, shit if Obama or Biden are good enough to be President, then Palin should be good enough as well.

I think Hillary thinks the same thing.

Biden says Hezoblaha has been evicted from Lebanon by American and French forces.
No one has evicted them and in fact, they are building up.
Biden was picked for his foreign expertise.

So an how can you vote for Obama when he picks a schmuck for Veep?
How can you vote for Obama when he is breaking the law by having ACORN commit fraud for him?

"Neither Palin, Biden, or Obama are qualified to be President."

I just find that claim baffling. Palin is more qualified than any of the people running for it. She is the only person on either ticket who has been a Governor. In absolute terms, she isn't ideal; I would have preferred that she not have to run before 2012. But the reality is that we needed her this year, and relative to everyone else on the tickets she's already ahead. The way that Obama'supporting 5th column on the right and all Democrats have bleated about her experience - I just find that unbelieveable.

sort of, as I recall Wonkette was the outlet for all Cutler's escapades after the story broke.

On the other hand, I thought Cox was pretty reasonable in the BHTV episode with Ann except on the Drafting Women section.
