This constant reference to Ann Coulters “real” sexuality is something I see constant reference to in the GLBT blogosphere. I don’t like it much because I think she is a beautiful women & people are to harsh in criticizing women’s looks – but accusing them of really being a man is way over the top.

Lots of such references appear in the GLBT world about multiple inferences as to people’s sexual identity/true nature. I believe this serves the cause in as much as it works both as a weapon & feeds the ego’s of the gay world by a “we’re in the know, secret club, gaydar” type sentiment.

This seems to be part of the power of the term “homophobia” – It is both a accusation of bigotry while at the same time calling the accused “real” sexuality into question.

Dude, get some perspective.

Yes, Ann Coulter is what I think of when I see a shrunken Moon transitting the Sun, too.

LOL. And I'm not just typing LOL. I'm actually laughing.

Sorry Ann - wrong comment box!

madisonman- funny stuff, really!

To add something to what I detracted.
I have a Celesrone C-90 spotting scope. The Moon looks incredible through it. All the craters & the sea of tranquility ..beautiful stuff

Yeah, but don't take it down, Fitz. It's the funniest thing yet today. Even funnier than that "brainiest witticism" I just linked to on Instapundit.

Did you see these NASA photos of a pair of volcanoes erupting on Jupiter's moon Io?

Be sure to scroll down to see an animation of why Io has so many eruptions. :)

How about the hydrocarbon seas on Titan? Weird wild stuff (and can we please not freak out over the word "hydrocarbon" in this context?).

This is bogus. Look at the diagram on the linked page. The two spacecraft are a million miles ahead and behind the Earth on Earth's orbit. The radius of the Moon's orbit is only a quarter-million miles. Simple geometry shows that the Moon can never come between these spacecraft and the Sun.

Worst NASA fake since the Apollo "landings."

Crimso,

Just don't pull a Velikovsky and confuse hydrocarbons with carbohydrates. ;)

Carbohydrate seas... the scourge of the Atkins dieters... :)

Hey, smilin' jack, LOL at your tinfoil hat.

Hehe! Didn't even notice Jack's comment.

There's a plotting tool available at http://stereo.gsfc.nasa.gov/where.shtml that gives a better representation of Stereo A and B in relation to the Earth and the Moon at any given time on any given date.

Is this a setup?

Althouse links to some boring NASA astroporn. Good for 3 comments, max.

Fitz parachutes in with Ann Coulter, creates Dada moment. Hilarity ensues.

If this is an accident, it proves once again that somehow Althouse can never lose.
