No "Best Ecletiblog", or whatever you settled as a name for your kind of blogging.

So it's either Best Blog or Best Conservative Blog. Hmm. I think the former for Althouse.

Cheers,
Victoria

I'll lift a glass of port in honor of one of your sketches and two of your photographs and cast a vote in the law blog category on your behalf, Ms. Ann.

Off topic. Ann, I have some interesting squirrel news on my blog. Also we bought a new video camera (the one with the hard drive)and have some squirrel video that will be posted soon. I will let you know.

Yeah, squirrel blogging should be a category.

Victoria: I think it is a problem that multi-topic can't be a category, since all the other categories also get to vie for Best Blog. Law Blog is probably the best category for me. Last year I was nominated for Best Conservative, but was disadvantaged by people thinking of Best Conservative as Most Conservative.

Honestly, I think of Althouse as the best liberal blog.

Do you have a stylist? An appointment with Harry Winston to borrow some jewels? Who are you wearing to the awards show? Do you believe in writing out acceptance speeches in advance?

Do they have a "least read" award??? I nominate my blog.

PS. Man, these word verifications are getting long (rcqvnddm).

Well she's not conservative like LGF are, no.

But liberal-liberal? Nah.

Try Democratic Underground...for Worst Liberal Blog (so many, so little fingernails on blackboards).

P.S.: Oh the irony of ME telling you about blogs, JSU! ;)

Cheers,
Victoria

Law Blog is probably the best category for me.

Although there are MANY blogs by lawyers, to my mind, it's you and Volokh that stand out.

(Instapundit too obviously, but as someone mentioned, he doesn't really blog about law matters as much)

Only Volokh has a slew of contributors which make his blog jump and hum.

There's only you here, doing the same thing.

Advantage, Miss Althouse. 5 games to 4. Serving with new balls.

Last year I was nominated for Best Conservative, but was disadvantaged by people thinking of Best Conservative as Most Conservative.

And as many people have mentioned, you're not really Conservative-conservative.

Your sensibilities are still liberal, in many ways, which makes this blog so comfy for so many of us.

Your masthead should read:

"You get a Square Deal at Althouse"

...or is that squirrel deal?

Cheers,
Victoria
