Japanese hotel offers "crying rooms" for women.

"[T]hese special rooms at the Mitsui Garden Hotel Yotsuya in Tokyo are stocked with tissues, 'warm eye masks' and about a dozen sentimental movies, six of which are available in English and include Forrest Gump, The Intouchables, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, The Notebook, One Day and What’s Eating Gilbert Grape."

The Notebook, yes. Avoid any DVD that mentions Nicholas Sparks. He always kills off the love interest.

Proof that women have a need for negative emotional outbursts; "Drama", and will seek it out or even manufacture it to get their fix.

I think it is the root cause of the current campus fake rape cultural meme and, coupled with untreated mental illness, is what drives Mattress Girl and others like her.

I wonder if it's considered newsworthy in Japan that an American brewer offers "shit beer" for men.

How sexist. Assuming that women are more emotional than men and would respond to chick flicks!

Good heavens, this is real. I was just at a Mitsui Garden Hotel (the one up by Higashi-Ginza). They seemed like a normal hotel . . .

The wife agreed with me when I postulated that most women need at least an hours worth of "good crying" each month, and most men need at least a few hours worth of "anger/reckless" time each month. And it's all hormonal. She cries right before, or during, her menses. I usually am at my most reckless or chest-thumpy right around her fertile time. That's also when I get real cravings for spicy, dissolve your bowels type food.

. . . and when she gets cravings for something else. Giggety.

Not involving her bowels though. I don't like breaking out the Lysol after sex, and butts are for pooping. Sorry Laslo.

Are Japanese men that squeamish about women's tears?

The Intouchables? Yeah, when Sean Connery dies, it gets to me too. "What are you prepared to do?"

"Find a need and fill it."

This is the first and great commandment of business, and the second is like unto it: "Be sure you get paid."
