Life comes in many forms everywhere on earth for a billion years. But nowhere else.

And who needs a spine when you live in a sea of abundance. Spines are for Marines that assault the beach.

Phew. For a moment I thought this would refer to the U.S. Marines. That would not do down well where I live.

So can a politician be spineless, have no moral compass, speak out of both sides of the mouth, have no foresight, hindsight or insight, carry around a lot of ugly baggage, have no capital, eat, drink & breathe nothing but politics, and still be considered a human being?

Because there are unspeakable horrors that lurk in the ocean's darkest depths which could do a better job in office than some I've seen in my lifetime.

The ones pictured at the link also have the advantage of interesting looks.

I once tried to explain, unsuccessfully, to a full colonel in the air force, when I was a captain, the word 'Marine' on a German aircraft on our ramp did not mean it belonged to the German Marines. It belonged to the German Navy. He could not accept such an idea.

BTW, there are no invertebrate US Marines. On many levels.

Some of those in the Air force senior enlisted and Jr. officers were convinced that part of your brain was removed when you got promoted to Colonel. I don't think that is true. I think they only promote people who have brain damage. It's part of affirmative action.

I never got past Lt. Col.
