"In Democratic Party video ad, Scott Walker nods yes when asked if he’s part of ‘criminal scheme.'"

PolitFact rates this "the definition of Pants on Fire."

ADDED: Here's the whole Wisconsin Democratic Party video:

Incredible.

AND: In case you haven't kept up with this "criminal scheme" business: "Mainstream media forced to walk back Walker ‘criminal scheme’ narrative."

The whole purpose of the entire enterprise is to give Mary Burke cover to lie.

Standard operating practice for unethical politicians who face a high probability becoming corrupt politicians.

Though the Democrat ad is despicable (are there any Democrat ads that aren't?), this one is so obvious and so poorly made it would only be aired to reach the low IQ portion of Wisconsin.

You can take it from there.

Is Mary Burke behind this fabrication in any way?

What about her minions?

Shameless.

Bobber Fleck said...

This is on par with the NAACP "James Byrd" ad against GW Bush in 2000.

Or perhaps the Joe Soptic "Romney killed my wife" ad in 2012.

Beta Rube said...

Garage still rates it "Mostly True".

StoughtonSconnie said...

And the Wisconsin State Journal and Milwaukee Journal will say exactly nothing about the Burke slander.

If the Walker campaign wanted to stoop to this level, they'd have to have Walker's kids on camera asking why Mary Burke was lying about their Dad, with a voiceover talking about how she couldn't understand how her lies impacted kids.

That would elicit a response from the media.

When you understand that the Left believes that any action in the fight for political power is justified, including lying and dishonesty, things like this commercial make sense.

In their mind, the ends (Democratic and Leftwing political power) justify any means.

Remember, the Left things the Right is evil, while the Right thinks the Left is ignorant and misguided.

Incredible. The left has no morals. No honesty. No rules. Christ, look at garage. Despicable. It's not just the pols, or the party. It's the whole stinking lot of them.

Al Franken once wrote a book titled "Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them." Who knew it was an autobiography ?

This is new territory for News Reporters: fake but untrue.

Still it's smoke, and the fire may come any day now.

Walker should not commit crimes. Not even non-crimes, because the word crimes is so bad! And it is making Garage crazy waiting for the Big Indictment.

Its really a simple strategy, and truth has nothing to with it. People like free stuff or the ability to use other people's money to gain power. That's enough to win elections. Sometimes

Republicans don't do this because it would be national news and a scandal.

My thoughts are these:

Y'all ought search on the interwebs videos of forging.

Steel.

Strengthening.

Through fire.

Hot.

Then think about what I am bringing about to Walker.

Trust me: I shall not give him more than he, or America, can handle.

This isn't to say you were wrong to panic and despair; you weren't.

But that time has passed. Not into the gassed.

Like Charles Foster Kane proclaimed so shall I: Everything will be okay. There will be no war. The world's leaders are too smart for that nonsense.

Since no one has stepped up to decouple Mark Burke from this shameless little ditty -- and given the closing the credits -- I'm going to assume that Mary Burke nodded her approval of this ad. Am I right?

Prove me wrong!

Walking back seems a little mild. Shouldn't they be frogmarched?

The guilty media members should be forced to line up and have Luis Suarez take a bite out of each one of them.

The Fox headline is thought-provoking.

Is the mainstream media really being "forced" to walk back the "criminal scheme" story? Which outlets are fessing up? Doing corrections, corrective stories and retractions? I haven't seen any as yet.

The one outlet I am personally picking on is NPR. With a reasonably responsive ombudsman, I am trying to get NPR to do a public corrective story. (Because who would expect the New York Times, the Washington Post or the Huffington Post to respond to angry readers?)

The original NPR story was seen here:

http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2014/06/19/323684698/wisc-gov-scott-walker-accused-of-illegal-fundraising

So far, NPR has done nothing to follow up. No correction, no further story, no retraction, no apology.

Just finished an article in this mornings Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, which states .....Walker, who prosecutors say is not a target,........

It was on page 4 of Section B, in the middle of an article about Ron Gibbs & Karl Rove talking politics.

Should do a poll - whose first thought was Garage Mahal when reading that comment?

Golly -that's new.

False impressions, half-truths, lies, damages- it's all part of the campaign.

The most amazing aspect of this?

This is very likely to be the most "truthful" of dem ads against Walker this year.

Isn't there some way to petition the Obama administration and ask that NPR be defunded unless they correct, retract or withdraw those statements about Governor Walker? It would be interesting to see the response to such a petition if enough signatures were acquired.

Pathetic. But lies like this are not going to get the pathetic Burke elected. She has no chance. The Wisconsin shot themselves in the foot again nominating her.

What's Burke's level of support; 47%?

Funny how that number keeps coming up.

He is. 40% of the way toward his promise/goal of "get[ting] government out of the way of employers ... who will then help Wisconsin create 250,000 jobs by 2015, and as we create those new jobs, we will be able to add 10,000 new businesses.”

The latest totals show that since Walker took office, the state added 102,013 jobs. 7 months to go, should get us to 50% of his jobs goal and 200% of new businesses goal.

What is Mary Burke promising? What is her goal? What makes you think she can do as well in the next 4 years as Walker has done in his first 4?

For all you've been following this story, you clearly haven't internalized how it distills the broader, and now functionally complete, erosion of any scruples the Left may have once had.

This seems like a black-letter case of actual malice, should he want to take them to court. However, I suspect he knows that he can get a lot more benefit by raising this in the court of public opinion than in any court of law.

LOL

Your entire existence on this blog proves otherwise.

But hey, that's just actual evidence, and we've already seen your demonstrated "capabilities" in processing actual evidence.

Thanks for playing rakeface.

Once again, it would be better for you if you stuck to cutting and pasting from others. You simply don't have enough brainpower to continue on your own.

And don't forget you lot are getting some of your taxes back.
Meanwhile, in Illinois, they're looking to place a tax on anything that moves, and on half of what don't.
Illinois has some of the highest unemployment. Highest taxes. Lowest economic growth. And have I ever mentioned that my home state is the most corrupt state in the union?
This is what garage wants for Wisconsin.

Garage is funny and very predictable. First he tries to pivot to the economy and change the subject. No sale! Then he works on insulting people on this thread because he has no viable argument to make on the topic at hand.

Garage, it would be best if you just sat this one out. This thread, is not so good for you and you're just embarrassing yourself more than usual.

That grifter John Chisolm has spend almost four years, many millions of dollars, and many thousands of manhours trying to get something...anything...on Walker.

Result? Zero, nilch, nada.

Call me when we are dealing with "no matter what", okay Corky?
