"I was having the best beaver experience of my life and I was not about to leave it early."

Even with his wife standing over there, watching him through binoculars.

Via Metafilter.

BUT: Remember: "'Man tries to take photo of beaver; it kills him.' Take a lesson, men."

This isn't the first guy whose wife spotted him having a beaver experience outside the home.

My coffee just shot through my nose while laughing.

I don't care who you are, that's pretty frickin' cool.

I did notice the juxtaposition, though, of a beaver doing the heavy thrusting.

Does this guy have a Norwegian accent?

That would have been considered high humor when I was in 8th grade. Back in 1969.

There's a dinner event, and I'm going to be late, but this is the best beaver experience of my life.

I'm guessing it's going to be the last beaver experience of your life.

Wasn't there a viral video of a Russian man being attacked, and killed by a beaver??

Yes, there was!!

@Oso It's blog-worthy because the guy got great close-up video and was totally personally wrapped up in how cool it was.

Watch the video. The guy is really, really excited about the beaver experience. It's actually quite cute.

@Ann So the double entendre factored into your thinking in no way whatsoever?

Very cool. Love the guy's enthusiasm - I have a friend who's the same with his still photography. I love his stories.

Seems to be a theme up there:

I believe it's an Alberta accent--the more excited he gets, the broader the vowels.

Phil Robertson only dreams of getting this close to those dang beavers.

Sometimes I think Ms. Althouse is just playing with the male readers of her blog.

I was fishing next to a beaver lodge on the bank of the Delaware river a few summers ago, and could hear the babies (kits?) inside it.

Then a (mama?) beaver came out of the water and walked up right to my feet to look up and stare at me.

I figured she was gently telling me to move along, and that's exactly what I did.

Cool experience!

I'm not complaining.

Nice beaver show, Althouse.
