Italian conceptual artist, bubble wrap cut in 3-minute, 5-minute, and 10-minute squares...

... people waiting at the bus stop...

It's the principle of "occupied time."

Exactly - radio streaming, RSS feeds, Twitter, email, games...bus tracking apps ... they're all right there.

"Antistress For Free!!"

What about the person sitting next to you? There's a bubble wrap popping externality, where your stress is transferred to the person next to you listening to the popping.

I got the answer: "Pop and Trade" legislation!

There must be something wrong with me when I can't think of an attractive woman, and bubble wrap, without thinking about sex.

When I saw that it was a story on NPR, I knew exactly what the first comment on their site would be:

Cute idea, but all I can think about is the waste... Do we really need to produce and throw away (in the trash or on the streets) more plastic? What is the difference between sheets of bubble wrap and plastic bags?

It's hard to have innocent fun among Puritans.

Why is this display in English if it is in Milan?

Something useful off NPR - for once.

Your antistress toy is a war veteran's cue to hit the dirt.

We have a lot of hypervigilant vets trying to get over their PTSD.

No bubble wrap or balloon popping, please.

Be kind.
